Liberty 290-Series Effluent/Sump Pumps Buyers Guide & Review
Liberty 290-series submersible effluent/ pumps are designed to be used for effluent, sump, and dewatering applications. 290-series pumps are cost-effective options for on-site wastewater systems, liquid waste transfer, and commercial heavy-duty sump applications requiring high head or more flow. These versatile pumps are constructed with a durable, uni-body casing with an epoxy powder coated finish for years of high performance. A vortex style impeller allows for superior solids-handling ability.
Each pump in the 290-series has a 1/2 HP motor, can handle solids up to 3/4", while reaching heads up to 48 ft. TDH. The maximum capacity is 83 GPM. The main difference between models is in the operation. 290 designated models are manual. Models 291 and 293 feature wide-angle float switches with a quick disconnect and piggyback plug respectively. The 297 VMF features a vertical magnetic float for operation in smaller pits.
Models marked with "HV" are high voltage editions that operate at 208-230 V. All other models operate at 115 V.
